The piezo buttons worked perfectly for 4 years at ScottTv, but I think, I will try capacitive touch sensor buttons. Unlike the piezo buttons, they will not react if Scott is beating on the TV, but they will just work on the touch. Now I have to check if they are not too sensitive. Test … Continue reading New Buttons for ScottTV
First parts for this little Led light. It's for a children's room, so it will be batteries driven and the power on/off will be a capacitive touch switch. No moving parts and the small parts are behind a 3 mm acrylic window The basic Idea And here the first parts, to see if everything fits. … Continue reading Dino Night Light For A 3 Year Old Boy
My new Led Base. I tried to make it look like a car wheel. Usb powered and with an on/off switch. Inside this base, I installed an middle part with 4 small spring steel springs, to keep the acrylic part in place.

I needed a lamp for my son, something very near to the ceiling, so he cannot reach it. Most children's lamps are not cool or made out of glass. So I decided to build one and I think it turned out cool 🙂 A small video of the working lamp https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ty7qdambRbY Step 1: Cad Files … Continue reading A Rocket Ceiling Lamp For My Son
Playing around with sketchup 8 to design a new led lamp. The pilot will be a robot or an alien 🙂 Robot and cockpit design First Cockpit and Pilot cuts
https://youtu.be/DdODKQxkLG8 Playing with the with a motor controller L298n. Took me a while to understand the datasheet. It's not the fastest robot, because it still runs on 5V. The motors need 12V in normal use. Now I will connect a bigger battery and try the PWM on my Nano. Stay tuned
Thanks to Arduino.cc. On December 31, my late Christmas present arrived at home. A Keithley DMM6500 - benchtop multimeter sponsored by distrelec. I won it at the ARDUINO / DISTRELEC: AUTOMATION & ROBOTICS CONTEST. This is how the year 2018 ended optimally. Contest and Sponsor Links https://www.arduino.cc/ https://www.distrelec.de/en
Finally my orderd PCB's from jlcpcb.com are here. They have a very good quality for my prototype and with these PCB's I save a lot of time in wireing Today I soldered the most parts in place. It took me a while, why the LED^s didn't work, but there is an error in my design A … Continue reading First test of my RTC Multiplexer
Just ordered new PCB's for an idea. Start to build it on perfboard, but it was boring, so I decided to design PCB's. This time I tried jlcpcb.com. Let's check the quality. Normally they should reach my destination next week an I will post the result here.
