I always had the idea to build a "WORD CLOCK" for myself. Most designs are flat and somehow always the same. I wanted to design mine, slightly different. This is just the basic idea, but I think I'm on the right path. 3D designs done in Sketchup 8.
Today I tried to build a light badge. I use 3mm mdf wood, a CR2032 and a rgb LED slow color changer. It turned out not to bad 🙂 https://youtu.be/B0AApjrFAFk Like always, the 3D design in Sketchup 8.0, to check if it could fit together To the laser The middle part is glued to the … Continue reading RGB Light Badge
I rarely work with SMD LEDs, but I quickly realized that's not easy, to find the polarity, and without putting them under power, you will never know the light color. So I quickly built me this tester. It's just a CR2032 battery between two parts of wood or plastic. To conduct the electricity I took … Continue reading Test Tweezers For SMD-LEDs
With this weird idea, I'll try to build a Mask where the LED's inside are controlled my the pulse and the music. There will be an integrated MP3 player with relaxing music or deep tones to concentrate. The light pattern will help to meditate. First parts are ready Connect the RGB LED's to the … Continue reading Some Brain Hacking Stuff
I'm still trying to build a cool night light. Here is an UFO for children or adults 😉 All done in 4mm plywood an 3mm acrylic. I used white LED's for the test, but I think green ones would be better. Drawing done in Inkscape. All glued together. The small bar has to be … Continue reading Ufo night light. Design test
My new business card holder display. Of course with a microcontroller and LED's. https://youtu.be/TE0exnYknig I used 2 Ws2812 Led breakout boards and a Digispark microcontroller. Showcase
The piezo buttons worked perfectly for 4 years at ScottTv, but I think, I will try capacitive touch sensor buttons. Unlike the piezo buttons, they will not react if Scott is beating on the TV, but they will just work on the touch. Now I have to check if they are not too sensitive. Test … Continue reading New Buttons for ScottTV
First parts for this little Led light. It's for a children's room, so it will be batteries driven and the power on/off will be a capacitive touch switch. No moving parts and the small parts are behind a 3 mm acrylic window The basic Idea And here the first parts, to see if everything fits. … Continue reading Dino Night Light For A 3 Year Old Boy
My new Led Base. I tried to make it look like a car wheel. Usb powered and with an on/off switch. Inside this base, I installed an middle part with 4 small spring steel springs, to keep the acrylic part in place.
